Lakes Murten, Neuchâtel and Biel are hydraulically connected by the Broye and Thielle canals. This view shows their levels and changes as one system.
The arrows show the usual connection Murten → Neuchâtel → Biel. Under particular conditions, flow in the Thielle Canal can reverse.
