Landscape and water pathways
Lake Aegeri occupies a glacial basin above Lake Zug. The Hüribach is its main inflow; the Lorze leaves at Unterägeri. This connects the two lakes, although their levels and elevations are different.
What makes this lake distinctive
Canton Zug describes how winter mixing replenishes oxygen at depth. In summer, a surface temperature describes only the upper layer. It does not establish oxygen conditions on the lake bed or water quality at a particular bathing spot.
What the readings tell you
A gauge records water-surface elevation at its location. The maximum depth of 83 metres is a geographical reference. Track changes at the same gauge using comparable timestamps; Lorze discharge in m³/s is a different, complementary quantity.
