Landscape and water pathways

Lake Baldegg occupies a glacial basin between Erlosen and Lindenberg. Inflows such as the Ron drain the surrounding area; the Aabach leaves at the north towards Lake Hallwil. A local stream reading is therefore not the lake level.

02

What makes this lake distinctive

Since 1982, compressed air has supported winter mixing, with oxygen added in summer. These measures concern the lake as a whole. They are not a current bathing clearance and cannot be inferred from one level or temperature curve.

03

What the readings tell you

Surface area and maximum depth come from the cantonal reference data. Current level and timestamp belong to the measurements page. For a bathing location, the cantonal bathing-water checks provide the relevant additional information.

Checked specialist sources

These sources support the hydrological context. Current readings and timestamps remain on the live page.
